Event Description: Halifax Humane Society’s Annual Mutt Strutt 5K Fun Run and Walk-a-Thon on the Beach is one of the largest and most successful fun run/walks in our area. With over 1,500 attendees and hundreds of their furry friends, you won’t want to miss out on this unique experience! After all, this is the only time, Daytona Beach allows leashed dogs on their beaches. Please help us raise $45,000 so that we may continue our mission of caring for our community's lost, abandoned, and neglected animals at Halifax Humane Society. Raise Funds for the Animals! Every Mutt Strutt Registration receives a personalized fundraising page so set a goal, then get started raising funds to save lives! Your registration fee acts as a kickoff donation to your page. Ask family, friends, and colleagues to support your efforts on behalf of HHS homeless animals and bring us closer to a time when every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home. Adopt a HHS Dog!! Looking for your new best friend at the Mutt Strutt? Visit the HHS Adoption Trailer to meet our dogs. Adoption staff will be on-hand to help make a match! Some amazing HHS dogs will be attending, so it's a perfect opportunity to adopt. To learn more about our adoption process and see our list of available dogs, visit our website at HalifaxHumaneSociety.org. Note this list may be incomplete and is subject to change, as dogs get adopted and new ones are rescued in their place. We recommend that all interested adopters complete the application ahead of time. Applications will be available to complete at the Mutt Strutt, but getting a head start will increase the likelihood that you will be able to take a dog home from the event. We will do our best to make a match for you if you apply in person, but we cannot guarantee same-day adoptions. Registration includes a bandana Rent a Mutt: $50.00 Don't have a Mutt to Strutt? "Rent" a HHS dog and make a new friend for the day or for life! Advance registration is required to rent a HHS dog. Restrictions may apply 3rd Place: 1-2 hour pet photo shoot by Alan de Castro within Volusia county or within 25 miles of Daytona Beach.
